The Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ) fosters scientific and technological innovation so as to ensure the sustainable development and competitiveness of Québec's fisheries and aquaculture sector. Innovation and Technologies Directorate oversees the work of four R&D and technology transfer centres located in Québec maritime areas and in Québec City, including the Aquatic Products Technological Centre in Gaspé.
